Backend Engineer - SDE 1

Job Description

Function: Software Engineering → Backend Development

• Node.js
• Python

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable client-facing, and internal APIs.
• Writing unit tests code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Take ownership of product/features: end-to-end development with testing and meeting the deadline.

Requirements:

• 1+ years experience writing production backend services at scale.
• Good understanding of Algorithms, Data Structures, Object Oriented Design and Databases.
• Experience working on SQL databases, especially data modeling and scalable schema design.
• Working knowledge of message queues, NoSQL databases, and caching systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and building services for scale.
• Basic knowledge of Python, scripting, and common data-science toolkits is a plus.
• Bonus points for experience with Typescript, and Node.js .
